THE GAME
Super Bunny Man is a platform game developed and distributed by Catobyte. Controlling a man dressed as a rabbit, your goal is to reach the end of the level. Simple? It's not! Like any good man dressed as a rabbit, you'll use jumps to advance, using physics to your advantage. Or not. And since everything good can get even better, you can call up three more friends to make everything more fun and chaotic.
MY IMPRESSIONS
I always look for games that have a cooperative mode because of the potential for fun and laughter that it can provide. Obviously, a game in which you are a man dressed as a rabbit jumping around will provide you with a lot of entertainment. Even though the game allows you to play alone, it is essential that it be played by at least two players. I was not able to test it with more than two people playing together, but I can't even imagine how chaotic this game can be with four players. The main mode challenges you in three ways. The first way is to reach the end of the map normally, trying not to fall into the holes or get impaled on the spikes, for example. The second way is to do exactly the same thing as the first, but taking a carrot with you to the end. And the third way is a race against time, in which you have to reach the end of the map under the stipulated time. In this exact order, we can outline these three ways as difficulty levels, but they do not force you to do them, except for the first one, which is the basics for advancing in the game.
In addition to the main mode, we have a versus mode with three modalities. The first mode involves defeating your opponents, either by throwing them off the map or using the environment to your advantage. The second mode is basketball, which consists of scoring baskets against the other team. And the third mode involves picking up carrots and taking them to your enclosure, and whoever has the most carrots wins. This versus mode is a great addition, but the simplicity and lack of map variety quickly exhausts this mode. Overall, it's a great game to get together with friends and have a good laugh.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Unfortunately, the game does not have achievements. I don't know if it is in the developers' future plans, but I believe there is room for a future addition.
CONCLUSION
Even though it is completely playable alone, playing Super Bunny Man with friends makes it much more fun. I know that for many people this is a deterrent, as they would stop playing a game like this because they don't have friends to play with, but if you have the chance, call your friends and play. I spent an entire night laughing playing with a friend, challenging ourselves to complete the levels by at least taking the carrot to the end. The amount of hilarious scenes we provided was worth it. I still want to try playing with four people to see what happens. And this is what the game relies on, as it is simple in all its aspects and, without the group fun factor, it is a game that quickly runs out of steam.
