Review: Beat 'Em Up Collection (QUByte Classics)

ree

A Beat 'em up collection featuring 7 games from the developer

Game

Beat 'Em Up Collection is a beat 'em up game (or more popularly known as "street brawler"), featuring seven retro games from developer Qubyte Interactive. The game itself includes some features within each game, such as rewinding and adding cheats.

In total, there are six beat 'em up games, with Frist Samurai being another platformer.

All games follow essentially the same logic and are designed to use the same controls, making it easier to jump from one game to the next.

In this collection, you can explore them and play with other friends (with the exception of First Samurai, which doesn't have a co-op mode).

My impressions

The available games are the street brawler-style games we're all familiar with. Unlike many other classics, the games tend to be simpler, but still provide good fun, like Gourmet Warriors, where after a level, you can prepare a dish with the vegetables and other items you collect after defeating enemies.

Of all the games, the one I liked least was Sword of Sodan, which is not only a bit slow-paced, but also difficult to navigate and interact with.

Still, for those who enjoy this style of game, it's a good collection for your free time.

Achievements

The game has a total of 29 achievements, including facing the bosses of the stages, as well as achieving a score or finishing the game.
