Founded in 2023, Press Attack was created around a simple idea: we believe a review should go beyond the first few hours of gameplay, surface-level impressions, and the most obvious talking points.

From the beginning, our goal has been to build a publication dedicated to game reviews that value the complete player experience. To us, understanding a game means exploring its systems, analyzing its mechanics, evaluating its progression, and discovering what it truly offers to different types of players.

While many reviews focus primarily on the main campaign, we aim to examine elements that are often overlooked, including optional challenges, post-game content, progression systems, and achievements. We believe these aspects are an important part of the experience and deserve consideration during the review process.

A Specialized Approach

Every game is different. An RPG requires a different perspective than a simulation game, a strategy title presents challenges that differ from those of a roguelike, and a competitive multiplayer game demands a completely different set of expectations than a narrative-driven adventure.

For this reason, our reviews are assigned according to each reviewer’s expertise and familiarity with a specific genre. We strive to place every game in the hands of someone who genuinely understands its mechanics, conventions, challenges, and audience.

This philosophy allows us to create reviews that are more in-depth, better contextualized, and ultimately more useful for players looking to make informed decisions about where to invest their time and money.

Bilingual Coverage

Press Attack is one of the few specialized gaming outlets that publishes its reviews manually in both English and Portuguese.

We do not rely on automated translation as a substitute for editorial work. Each version is carefully prepared to ensure that readers from different regions receive the same level of quality, clarity, and consistency.
