Review: Lost & Found A This Bed We Made Story

Sophie's story continues.
THE GAME
Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story is a mystery and investigation game developed and distributed by Lowbirth Games. Aboard a cruise ship, we meet Sophie, the protagonist of This Bed We Made, who is back in her job as a chambermaid. She is warned that there is a thief on the cruise ship stealing from the other passengers. As Sophie has access to all the rooms, she is tasked with trying to find out who the thief is. By snooping around the rooms, Sophie learns more about the passengers and thus tries to solve the mystery of the stolen items.

MY IMPRESSIONS
The story of Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story takes place after the events of the first game. Here, we have a very short story involving Sophie, who remains a first-rate snoop. In a much smaller environment than the hotel in This Bed We Made, the player will gather clues to uncover the identity of the thief on board. The game is not in Brazilian Portuguese, which will make understanding the story difficult for those who don't speak English, as the game is heavily guided by text, even to better understand the context of the story and the characters. The atmosphere created is very good, with music, sounds, and noises setting the mood very well.
The gameplay is very simple, just like the first game; you are never in danger of being caught snooping. The game is more focused on solving mysteries than on making you anxious about being caught, for example. Dialogue options open up if you have discovered information during your investigations. Everything is very easy to find, and you will have very little difficulty progressing. Furthermore, before you know it, the game is over. Its duration is short, almost like an appetizer for what This Bed We Made is all about. Nothing is explored in great depth, but for those who played the previous game, it's nice to have something new from this universe, even if it leaves the player wanting more.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Although it's a short game, if you want to complete all the achievements, you'll have to play it again a few times. Starting the game carrying over the consequences of the previous game or not, gossiping or not, and cleaning everything up correctly are just some of the tasks necessary to complete certain achievements. Correct or different decisions can lead you down different paths and, with that, unlock some achievements. Probably, playing twice, you'll be able to easily complete 100% of the achievements.

CONCLUSION
I didn't quite understand the purpose of Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story. When you start the game, you can input your choices from This Bed We Made. For me, it was difficult to remember what those choices were, since I played This Bed We Made a long time ago. This, in itself, is something that would only work for those who played one after the other, but it's forgivable since it doesn't directly affect Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story; it only makes your game historically accurate to what you experienced in This Bed We Made. The short length isn't a problem, but the game itself seems to serve as a bridge to a sequel. At the same time, it leaves fans of the series wanting more, but it also serves as an entry point for those who have never played This Bed We Made, even though the events of this game take place after This Bed We Made. So, is Lost & Found: A This Bed We Made Story an appetizer for new players? Is it an announcement for a longer sequel? Is it all of that together? I don't know the answer, but the game is still great, even if it's much easier and on a much smaller scale.
