How good are you at pretending to be an NPC? In Unspottable, this skill will be tested to the fullest.
THE GAME
Unspottable is a multiplayer competitive game developed and distributed by GrosChevaux. With a good-humored atmosphere, Unspottable brings a game almost like a punching tag, where you and all the participants have the same appearance and must find yourself among the many identical characters on the screen. Found a player? Punch him! However, be careful and plan your actions well or the other players will know who you are. Blend in with the bots, act like one of them and try to find out who the real players are before they find out who you are.
MY IMPRESSIONS
The game is full of fun. The more people playing, the better it gets. The game's arts, although simple, are very expressive and follow the good mood that Unspottable wants to bring. The game has subtitles in Portuguese-Brazil, which helps explain each specific level.
Speaking of phases, each map has a peculiarity that makes the game even more fun. Thus, the game does not become repetitive and keeps you healthy. You'll be better at one type of map or get the hang of one of them and that makes the competition much more interesting.
The gameplay is simple and easy to understand. Even with the phase variations, the objectives and commands are explained at the beginning of each stage. The game shines when players have to disguise themselves among the various bots while trying to fulfill their mission, acting as if they were one of them. Bot programming is wonderful. You easily confuse some of them with other players. Anyway, everything is incredibly fun and will get you and your friends some great laughs and funny situations.
ACHIEVEMENTS
As it is a multiplayer game, almost entirely, the achievements will require you to be playing with more people. Three to four people, to be more exact, is enough to complete the vast majority. Many of them require specific situations that can happen naturally during game time.
I had problems with some achievements, but I contacted the developers and they promptly responded and fixed the bugs, including giving me tips on how to complete them. I was very grateful for the agility and concern they had with me and the game.
As I said before, some situations happen naturally after some time of play and you get the achievements, but some of them are really specific. You can force them with the help of some friends if you want to complete 100% of the achievements quickly.
CONCLUSION
If you have a group of friends and are looking for a fun, no-strings-attached game, I highly recommend playing Unspottable. The unpredictability of the game creates comical and chaotic situations that are sure to amuse you and your friends.
I had a lot of fun playing and, despite having a good variety of levels, there are times when it gets repetitive, but that's only if you play for a long time at a time. Playing in short sessions is guaranteed fun for a long time. Apparently, there are plans for new phases, that is, what's good will get even better.
I love this kind of game, where you get friends together and play something that doesn't require skill or where the outcome doesn't matter. I wish there were more games like this. Unspottable uses an innovative idea that I've never seen before in this way.
If it continues to be updated and more content is added, Unspottable will become even more fun. If the developers' creativity is on the rise, there are plenty of ideas to explore. And, from my experience, the care and attention that the developers have with the game only makes me have more expectations that Unspottable only tends to get better than it already is.
